My name is Teresa Gassoway. I was born in Manhassett, New York, but I am currently living in Norwood, Massachusetts. I am 20 years old, and a junior at Hofstra University. I am an Early and Elementary Education Major, with a History Co-Major, and a Music minor.
I would love to teach younger children (Preschool-Second Grade). I believe that children learn best when visual, auditory, and kinesthetic lessons are used. In my classroom, I will use visual aides as I verbally explain the lesson. After explaining the lesson, I will have the children complete hands-on/physical activities and projects to reinforce what they have learned.
Also, using a site called picassohead, I attempted to create a self portrait of myself! Here's the result:
I have created this website for a class at school, and intend to use it for assignments, as well as to share the many things I find relevant to teaching/learning. I'm hoping to utilize this blog for quite some time, so I will post again!
