Above is a concept map that I was able to create using a website called Popplet. This lesson would teach students about the nature that is all around us. I would teach this lesson during class, creating this popplet with my students. After we work together to get something like the popplet above, then I would ask them to add as many sub-categories/make the popplet as specific as they can. For example, they could add specific animals to the sub-categories of 'Land Animals', 'Water Animals', and 'Flying Animals'. Popplets would be a very useful tool to use in the classroom. It can help students understand how things are connected to each other.
